06:20 pm - Dhamma Chakra Pravartana Day "...49 days after achieving Enlightenment prince Siddhartha gave the first discourse, Pathama Desana, to the five ascetics at the deer park of Migadaaya, located in Isipatana near the holy city of Varanasi, in the evening of the full moon day in the eighth month of Asalhi. He spoke in simple Magadhi, the language his listeners understood well. The discourse was brief, with short, simple and precise statements. There were no definitions and no explanations. It was a direct and sincere narration of how prince Siddhartha has transformed into the Buddha. He spoke from his experience, narrated his findings and explained the Four Truths and the three aspects of each; and the Middle Path..." I get goose bumps each and every time I read this... Beautiful, touching, inspiring... No words can describe it. 07:08 pm - Новый Год В Бангалоре в последние дни холодно: даже в солнечный полдень зябко поеживаюсь в рикше. А ощущения Нового Года все равно нет. За окном стемнело, стихает трафик на вечно оживленной 80 Ft Rd, и вдруг совершенно ясно представляется, что сейчас можно подойти к входной двери, распахнуть ее и шагнуть в вечер 31-го декабря в Улан-Удэ. Вдохнуть зимние запахи, укутаться в синие сумерки и замереть, чуть дыша - вот он, уходит Cтарый Год - не оборачиваясь, не спеша, без сожалений и грусти. а за его спиной темной громадой высится Новый. Принеси же всем счастья, самого настоящего, вечного и чистого, без горестей и страхов, тревог и сомнений. 10:13 am - в продолжение вчерашнего разговора с ilchi Найдено у keramist: Не могу описать, как это скверно, когда твои друзья либо женятся, либо становятся королевскими изобретателями. Сегодня ты входишь в беспечную компанию любителей приключений, готовых отправиться в любой путь, как только наскучит оставаться на одном месте. Отправляйся, куда только захочешь, перед тобой карта всего мира... И вдруг... Путешествия перестают их интересовать. Им хочется жить в тепле! Они боятся дождя. Они начинают собирать вещи, которые некуда поместить. Они говорят только о разных пустяках... Ни на что серьезное они уже решиться не могут. Раньше они прилаживали парус, а теперь строгают полочки для фарфоровых безделушек. Хуже всего было то, что домоседы заразили и меня своим оседлым настроением.
